*Laminating pouches are pockets made from transparent laminating films. The document to be laminated is inserted in the laminating pouch and then the whole set is put in the laminating machine. The standard pouch sizes available cover business cards, credit cards, driver's licenses, key cards, luggage tags, and index cards. Laminating pouches are also available in various colors and custom sizes, depending upon the application.

Laminating pouches are 1.5, 3, 5, 7, 10 or 15 mils thick. The mil weight is expressed per side; therefore, the total weight of the film has to be doubled. For example, a 3-mil pouch has two sheets of 3-mil film plus your document (regular bond paper is 4 mil) for a total aggregate of 10 mils.
